This place is our favourite place to stay, regardless of the season. We've been coming here for years and have watched the gradual transformation of it from the old nurses home to a mint hospitality provider. Friendly, accommodating, great facilities (spa, massive telly, huge indoor and outdoor fireplaces) and you'll feel like you never want to leave. Perfect for the solo traveler and for big families. We held my son's 21st here - booked out the whole place - and it was an exceptional weekend.

Just got back from a lovely 3 night stay in The Villa at Snowy Waters. We all, kids included, loved everything about it! The accomodation was lovely with very comfortable, warm beds. The roaring fire, the huge property to roam around on. Our host Sandy was always available to help us if required. The kids had plenty to do, there was the Snowy Train, a bouncy castle, play equipment. We were also lucky enough to be there when 3 week old Lucy the Lamb was too, and the kids were allowed to feed her which they thought was great. This really is a lovely, comfortable home away from home, thank you Sandy and Snow for a very memorable holiday.

Phenomenal place to stay for a ski trip. Outdoor spas for relaxing after a long day on the slopes, plenty of facilities and the owners are great people! Highly recommend.

We got married here and I highly recommend to anyone wanting an all in one location. Sandy and the team made sure anything we were after was organized and we booked the place out so guests could stay. Everything was magical and I couldn't have wished for more. Everyone who stayed all had brunch the next morning and it was really nice having that time to properly catch up with guests I would have missed if were held it elsewhere. Cannot say enough about this amazing venue!

Awesome place to stay in Raetihi, especially for a big group like we had (30 people). The rooms were warm, the beds comfy and there were plenty of beds, they even provided individual hot water bottles. The bathrooms were clean and tidy and there was plenty of hot water in the high-pressure showers. They have two outdoor spas, a large bbq area, complete with outdoor fireplace. There are two separate kitchens and dining areas, both with well stocked wood burners in them. The largest dining area had enough space for a dance floor, which we happily utilised. The staff were helpful, but unobtrusive. Very reasonably priced. A great option for accommodation, whether you are just wanting a break away from it all or to use it as a base for access to the ski fields of Mt Ruapehu.
The Ruapehu region offers a vast array of activities amidst two of New Zealand’s National Parks; Tongariro and Whanganui.
Our region is home to three fantastic ski areas; Turoa, Whakapapa and Tukino, two great walks; the Tongariro Northern Circuit and the Whanganui Journey, and one national cycle trail; the Mountains to Sea.
We are the starting point for canoe and jet boat journeys to the Bridge to Nowhere. Walk or bike the Old Coach Ride or cycle the Ohakune Mountain Road.
